We are dedicated to making your experience rich in content and superior in comfort.
This unique travel program combines the expertise and resources of two organizations that cherish the traditions, achievements, and faith of Jewish communities – past and present – around the world. Jewish Heritage Travel and the Museum of Jewish Heritage are delighted to have the opportunity to share this rich, varied, and poignant history and culture with you on these select trips. We look forward to traveling with you.
Every step of the way…
We make sure that each Jewish Heritage Travel journey provides you with an experience that is memorable. Our programs combine an exploration of Jewish history and culture; outstanding, dynamic scholars; important local sites of interest; striking countryside; deluxe accommodations; and the company of like-minded travelers. From the places you will visit, to the places you will sleep, from our experienced guides to our knowledgable scholars, we create an atmosphere of ease and camaraderie combined with in-depth educational content.
Experienced, quality leadership all along the way.
Dr. Aryeh Maidenbaum leads each program. He has been organizing and leading educational travel programs for over 25 years. For the past 15 years his focus has been on Jewish-oriented travel. The breadth and depth of his knowledge provide the direction that he and his staff use as they collaborate to conceive, research, and implement every aspect of each trip.
Dr. Maidenbaum will tell you that, “Jewish Heritage Travel programs are really learning vacations designed with content and comfort in mind.” Carefully chosen scholars and local experts create a vibrant tapestry that bring to life the historic, Jewish, and cultural experience in the countries and cities we visit. We stay at deluxe hotels, with fine amenities, see important sites of interest and enjoy the company of like-minded travelers along the way.
Your trip begins when you register.
That is when our friendly and experienced staff, Jo Fisher and Sally Smith-Raymond, will offer to help you with your travel arrangements and make sure that your travel needs are attended to. Through out the program your leader, guide, and the staff back at home are on the ready to make sure everything goes smoothly.
We invite you to join us.
There are vacations, and then there are journeys…trips so unforgettable, you’ll be talking about them for years to come. We believe the programs we offer are just that. Come join us!

Jo Fisher has been working with and assisting Dr. Maidenbaum in designing, organizing, and leading educational travel programs for over 16 years. With degrees in education and art, and a strong background in event planning, Jo’s research, planning, and site visits insure our itineraries combine a focus on content with the comfort and deluxe accommodations our participants have come to expect. Additionally, her help in coordinating and personalizing their own, individual travel plans has made travel seem seamless and personally meaningful for our many participants.
Sally Smith-Raymond, with her expertise in management and public relations, has played an important role in our office for over 12 years. A bank manager for 17 years before she joined our firm, her record keeping and accounting add a personal touch to our team effort of custom-oriented travel. Additionally, while specializing in the processing of our participants’ visa applications for travel to Cuba, Sally has assisted Dr. Maidenbaum on leading trips to various destinations — including Cuba, Krakow, Prague, Berlin, and Ireland.
